Font - Hey team Today's meeting was intentional for me not to show. My goal was to see who was gonna step up to the plate and who was gonna be my left and right hand men. I was told I can't do it all by myself and I agreed. I apologize for those of you that are upset and I apologize if I wasted your time with this. Clearly this didn't work for some of you. If you didn't clock in please message me on the side and I'll adjust. If anybody else wants to have a convo on the side I'll be willingly to

Font - sirhackenslash • 1d So somebody was supposed to "step up" and conduct a meeting on behalf of the boss without being asked to do so and without any clear idea of what the meeting was even supposed to be about? This is poor management Reply 5.8k

Font - geometricsun OP • 1d That's what I took from it, too. Like? I heard through the grapevine that the meeting was about tardiness and performance (lol). If that was true, someone could've conducted it but we didn't know for sure. ... 2.9k

Font - chernobyl169 . 23h Even if someone did! Imagine how difficult it is to discuss the importance of attendance when the person in charge, the one that called the meeting, isn't even there. 1.4k

Font - notapoliticalalt. 22h Yup. It would seem blatantly hypocritical even if the email came out later. Just the dumbest possible idea and winner of biggest waste of a meeting. 269 269

Font - CRONOTER ERW A1sauc3d. 22h The email would simply seem like a cover story for the blatant hypocrisy. In fact, if that was the stated purpose of the meeting and the boss didn't show, it already feel kinda like a cover story lol. Either that or a brain dead plan xD 4131 ↓

Font - Polenicus 20h ● My take is it's a cover. Manager set the meeting, then likely overslept or otherwise forgot about it themselves (Or set it for the wrong date and time). Upon seeing everyone else showed up, they created this story about it being a loyalty test and a way to see who would 'step up' to shift blame off themselves onto the staff. "I didn't screw up, you failed my test!" ... 143 143

Font - geometricsun OP. 1d I already had a conversation through text with him. I'm a teacher full time and I ripped into his ass. I don't play, especially when I've worked for school admin who's done the same thing. 47k ↓

Font - RuckusManshank • 1d . What an asshole. Waste everyone's time, because he doesn't know how to delegate? "I need 2 people to help me, but I don't know how I can choose (ie, managers job) so I wasted Everyone's time and didn't show up myself". Don't work for this guy ... Reply 603

Font - drinkslinger1974 • 22h My manager schedules team meetings right as I'm supposed to pick my kids up from school, start dinner, pack their lunches etc. Every meeting, I get the "missed you at the meeting today" speech, and every meeting I just don't care. I don't need to sit around and listen to the rest of my team bitch about each other for two hours. Reply 198
